Karen DeHaven, MA, BC-DMT, LPC

As a professional counselor and licensed dance/movement psychotherapist, Karen works with children, families and adults who are ready to creatively work through emotional and behavioral challenges. She specializes in pediatric developmental delays including Autism, behavior management, stress management and loss and grief.  Karen works with both verbal and non-verbal clients.

Karen received her B.A. from Trinity College (CT) and her M.A. in Creative Arts in Therapy from Allegheny University Hahnemann. Karen has extensive work experience as a therapist in mental health agencies as well as with contract agencies for early intervention services in Pennsylvania. Karen is a PQAS Certified Instructor through the Department of Public Welfare and provides trainings on stress management, bullying, Autism, behavior management, and child development and has presented dance/movement therapy workshops at universities and agencies nationally. She is a Board-certified member of the American Dance Therapy Association and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Pennsylvania. She is also a member of the Central Bucks Chamber of Commerce, the Bucks County Autism Support Coalition and ADHD Aware.
