AHA! Studio offers therapy in both Individual and Group settings for children and families with children who have neurodevelopmental disorders, Autism, PDD, Asperger's & other syndromes; learning disorders, ADHD, Dyslexia, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, and children struggling with anxiety, stress, depression, loss, grief, transitions, and anger management issues.

Karen offers several exciting classes for the group setting including Dancin Play Social Skills Classes and Dancin’Play™ Yoga.

Social Skills Therapy Group

Unique and Highly Effective!
Dancin'Play™ therapy groups are movement-based groups designed for children who are struggling to develop basic social and life skills.  Using interactive movement games and dances, each group focuses on 2-3 key social "tools" that will enable your child to engage more fully in socially appropriate behaviors including self-regulation, shared peer play, problem solving, cooperation, and friendship building.  

Children who are tired of the more traditional social skills programs will be pleasantly surprised at the creative techniques utilized in this unique program. They will fall in love with these games while learning new developmental skills!

Groups are designed for children with neurodevelopmental, learning, and social challenges.  Perfect for children with Autism, Asperger's, ADHD, Non-Verbal Learning Disorder, and social anxiety.

Winter Session: 10 weeks, Jan 17 – March 27 (no therapy group on Feb 14)

10-Week Group Fee: $350.00

Intake and Assessment session required for all new clients prior to start of group (Separate fee).

Yoga for Children

"Yoga" is often translated as the union of the Body and the Mind. Dancin'Play™ Yoga programs are therapeutic groups designed for children struggling with neurodevelopmental, learning, and social challenges. Therapy groups use yoga poses, breathing techniques, storytelling and play to create group experiences that target embodiment, communication and social skills development. While yoga poses are the pathway for strengthening and integrating the body, the therapeutic structure used in these classes supports physical and emotional flexibility as well through choice making, direction following, problem solving, communication, and relaxation techniques. Pre-assessment is necessary to determine appropriateness for each child (Separate fee).

Mini Camps For Special Kids

Enjoy a day out while your child spends the day in a safe and friendly camp-like atmosphere!

This mini camp is designed for children ages 5-12 living with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or sensory motor issues resulting in limitations in socialization and activities of daily life. Siblings are welcomed too!  Under the supervision of a licensed psychotherapist and dance movement therapy intern, children will have fun exploring sensory play, art, and movement within a group setting. Please pack a lunch for our midday picnic!
