THERAPY FOR KIDS
When Little Hearts Weather Big Storms
When your child hurts, your whole family feels the tremors. In our rapidly shifting world where screens compete with souls and busyness crowds out belonging, children are struggling to find their footing. Their nervous systems, still learning to regulate, can become overwhelmed by a world that moves too fast and offers too little of what growing hearts truly need.
If your child is struggling, it may show up as
constant conflict, paralyzing worry, explosive meltdowns, or quiet withdrawal into isolation.
—
Sleep becomes elusive.
—
School feels impossible.
—
Social connections fray.
These aren't signs of failure; they're signals that your child's inner world has become a storm they don't yet know how to navigate.
Therapy can help.
At AHA! Studio,
We understand that beneath the surface turbulence lies a child seeking connection, safety, and understanding.
Our child-centered approach recognizes that healing happens not through pressure, but through creating sanctuary where young spirits can find their way back to calm waters.
We work with you and your child to restore balance, rebuild connection, and discover the resilience that already lives within your family.

In this sanctuary, children discover they are not broken; they are simply learning to weather life's storms with Grace.
Our Approach
Therapy at AHA! begins with a two-part intake to help develop an individualized treatment plan built around your goals for your child and your child’s developmental needs.
Your child’s therapist will share their recommendations for the best approach to meeting your child and family’s needs that is always child-focused and individually designed.
Play & Creativity Lead the Way to Healing
Approaches we offer at AHA! Include:
-
CBT teaches awareness and actionable skills to help your child gain control over thoughts, feelings, and actions.
This approach involves a combination of both child and parent sessions so your child can get the support needed at home to use new skills & ways of thinking.
-
TF-CBT is an evidence-based, trauma-sensitive therapy designed to help cope with traumatic life events (i.e. death of a family member, medical trauma, divorce, or a life-threatening event) Therapy focuses on the trauma and follows stages to address stabilization, trauma story reprocessing, and integration.
This approach involves both individual therapy with regular parent sessions to support your child’s progress over time.
-
SFBT is a short-term therapy approach that focuses on identifying strengths and resources to support specific goals to address challenges and find solutions.
SFBT is often beneficial for event specific challenges i.e. transitions to a new school or college and mindset shifts following a non-traumatic setback.
This approach typically involves a combination of Individual therapy & parent coaching sessions.
-
Relational therapies (i.e. DIR Floortime & Relationship Development Interventions (RDI) )help build core engagement skills with You as their primary growth partner.
These approaches are family-focused and involve a child-parent model.
