I view my life’s work as both a blessing and a calling – one that merges my love of movement and play with my passion for depth psychology and a natural compassion for the human journey to find purpose & belonging.
With an advanced specialty of Counseling in Dance/Movement Therapy, I integrate both traditional and creative arts therapy techniques to design individualized treatment approaches for verbal, emerging verbal, and non-verbal clients who all deserve extraordinary mental health care to create healthier patterns of thinking, feeling, and acting in relation to themselves & others.
With children and families, I embrace a three-phase healing journey:
I gain trusted entrance into the world of your child so I can discover the developmental roots of distress to begin building strengths-based skills leading to empowerment, choice, and emotional commitment in therapy.
I collaborate with parents & caregivers so you can understand and come to terms with what is happening and I support you to learn how to help your child grow and heal in between sessions.
I help the whole family create sustainable change, accept what cannot be changed, and love the journey toward growth and wholeness.
I founded AHA! Studio for Integrated Therapies LLC to expand my 20 year vision of creating a boutique private therapy practice where women, children, and families can find sanctuary for deep therapeutic growth & healing.
I believe in a “midwivery” approach to therapy, where unconditional support and science-backed treatments work together to help create a happier, healthier and kinder world one person and family at a time.
